THE CHOK CHOK GREEN TEA INTENSE CREAM REVIEW

Tonymoly always piques my interest thanks to Monsta X. Tonymoly’s The Chok Chok Green Tea collection had various campaigns with the members and had me yearning to try the products. Thankfully, Beautchat sent me two of the products from the line, making me a very happy Monbebe!

The Chok Chok Green Tea line contains 3 different creams; Intense, Watery, and Gel. I received the Intense variant of the group which I was excited for since the weather the past few months has left my skin extremely dry.

The Intense Cream contains Fermented Green Tea, Green Tea Seed Oil, and Meadow Foam Seed Oil. These ingredients help replenish moisture back into the skin for long periods of time. It uses EWG green grade ingredients and claims to be great for those with sensitive skin. The texture of this cream is pretty standard. It’s decently thick, much not too thick to feel heavy.

Unfortunately, I had to stop using this cream. Despite being okay for sensitive skin, my sensitive skin couldn’t handle it. Which just further proves that YMMV (your miles may vary). There seems to be something in it that is causing my skin to get irritated. When I used this, I would wake up with small red bumps along the temples of my face and under my ear (back of the jaw). In the areas that didn’t break out, it was fine. My skin felt really smooth and hydrated, which makes this even sadder that it broke me out in other places.

I really was hoping this cream would work out for me since it’s a great price (around $10 on sale) and does follow through with the moisture claim. But I guess this one has to be a thumbs down for me.
