It is advised that you should be drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water a day. Water is such an integral component of our existence. It is the best antidote for any skin problems. It flushes out all the bad toxins, helps you and your skin hydrated and fresh. But what if you can’t manage even 4 glasses in a day? If you’re like me and drink more cups of coffee than water and still complain about how your skin feels dull, despite taking care of it, let me introduce, what I call to be ‘the holy trinity’, from Laneige that will bless your skin like never before!

The simplicity of this particular range from Laneige that makes all the three mentioned products easy to use and works for everyone, because since when was water not good for everyone and anyone? No matter what your skin type, or age, these products do not disappoint!

I apply these products in order of my description

The Water Sleeping Mask is described as an overnight mask that is supposed to provide intense hydration. The reason why it is a ‘Sleeping Mask’ and not a regular face cream is because it particularly works overnight to rejuvenate the skin.

After cleaning, toning, and doing preliminary serum work, apply this clear gel like formulae as a regular face cream. The gel like consistency feels cool and light and very refreshing, nothing like a traditional gel!

It is formulated with highly concentrated Hydro Ionized Mineral Water to deliver high doses of moisture to stressed and parched skin. The product is infused with Calming Sleep ScentsTM like orange flower, rose, and sandalwood that relax and comfort the skin while apricot and evening primrose extracts brighten and purify fatigued skin.

Contrary to popular belief, the use of a rich cream at night time for the purposes of overnight repair can end up clogging your pores. Even if your skin is extremely dry the Laniege Water Sleeping Mask is a better option that is oil-free. It will help your skin breathe during the night and counter dullness, dryness, and uneven texture. The overnight properties of the gel also provide great anti-aging and de-wrinkling solutions.

The word ‘Mask’ might throw some people off, thinking it’s more work than your regular moisturiser. If you think you might need to play a waiting game on this product, to apply it and wait for to wash, you’re most definitely wrong. The Laneige sleeping mask absorbs into your skin within 10 minutes, it’s not tacky, and perfect to act as a barrier while you’re asleep.

I am also obsessed with its scent. It comes in a few different shades, each dedicated to a different scent. The scents are designed to be those that fall under ‘Calming Sleeping Scents’, and so naturally I picked my absolute favourite; Lavender! The instructions really encourage you to delve into the calming scents, by applying the product first near your nose so you can inhale the scent and then begin to spread it across your face. Bonus! The product is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner

The name itself screams hydration, and that is exactly what is promises to do. It is a cooling eye gel to instantly brighten tired looking eyes with a surge of moisture. It is recommended for all skin types, because the ingredients are so simple that it is likely to suit everyone.

✔ Normal

✔ Oily

✔ Combination

✔ Dry

✔ Sensitive

I use the eye gel in the evening, because keeping in theme with my Water Gel Mask, both products are similar and work well with one another. It is a great solution if you have dryness under your eyes. After a long day you are likely to encounter tired and puffy eyes and the eye cream helps counter that. Your eye area is also one of the first places on your face that show signs of aging because the skin around it is so thin and porous, so using a gel eye cream Infused with Hydro Ionized Mineral Water and Biogen technology helps counter fine lines and wrinkles. This cooling formulation fused with six moisture maximizing minerals deeply hydrate and soothes the delicate eye area for up to 24 hours while boosting moisture retention.

The Laneige Water Bank Eye cream is rich in some excellent ingredients. It contains bilberry and palm tree fruit extracts to nourish and soften the skin while forming a protective barrier to retain moisture. In tandem with quinoa extract, olive oil, and moisture-balancing tillandsia, the gel helps the skin around the eyes fresher, and more radiant in appearance.

The pot comes with a spatula which you can use to apply the cool formula under your eyes, but I would rather work with my ring finger and give a massage as I apply the product to boost blood circulation. I go over whatever is leftover on my lids and around my inner corner because the skin around that area is as sensitive as your under eyes and need the same TLC. Other than my complexion, my lips are my priority. The last thing you want is pruned, dehydrated lips that look dull. It doesn’t help that I have discoloration over my top lip and I’m constantly exfoliating them, they help remove any dead skin and keep my lips looking plump. Big lips are the trend, but to make sure your makeup application does justice to the trendy techniques, the base needs to be well hydrated.

The Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is the cherry on top of my night time routine. I religiously use it at night time. After having exfoliated my lips I say a little prayer so they remain plump and then rely on the lip mask to help glue together all my efforts and deliver results the next morning.

In terms of ingredients the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask uses vitamin C, great for brightening appearance, Shea butter for moisture and various fruit extracts like raspberry, strawberry, goji berries to soothe and soften lips. It claims to use a special technology called Moisture WrapTM, which creates a mineral network of beta-glucans over the lips to lock hydration and keep lips moisturised for up to 8 hours.

The product goes on colourless and comes in 4 different colours each dedicated to a specific scent. I am not one for fruity scents, so I picked the mint chocolate pot. The mint chocolate feels cooling on the lips, and onsets blood circulation for plumper lips. The texture is in between that of a very thick moisturiser and a silky balm. It is recommended that you use a small amount, as a little goes a long way. It forms a protective film over your lips, so you wake up with nicer lips than yesterday.

It comes with a tiny little spatula as well, and ideally you could rinse it every time, but clean fingers work just fine. Other than using it on my actual lips I also use the Sleeping Mask on my cupid’s bow. I can’t attest with scientific findings, but it makes my top lip super plump in the morning, perfect to use my lip liner and over line my lips. Maybe it’s the mint, since that is the only one I have been using, but I would recommend you try it out for yourself! Also! this too is an Allure Best of Beauty award winner.

This is my very own ‘Holy Trinity ‘from Laneige that is worth buying and trying out, but also start drinking more water everyone because no amount of skincare can replace the goodness of water ( a fact I choose to ignore as a pound my face with Laniege skin care- its just THAT good)
