I was really looking forward to receiving this foundation (I actually gave up my Estee Lauder double wear, thinking that maybe this would be a dupe), and I've picked the formula 2.5, shade N21.
My type of skin is sensitive, acne-prone skin, combination to dry, shade 21 in most Korean foundations.
What I like about it:
- The shade is great, i don't have any complaints;
- The smell (which is not overpowering);
- The fact that it comes in a bottle;
- The fact that if you use a good primer, it will look nice and smooth, like a higher end foundation.
What I don't like about it:
- it clings to every possible dry patch on my face, making it appear extremely flaky
- even though i've chosen the highest coverage (nr 5), it doesn't cover the blemishes with a thin layer and if you build it up a little bit, it appears caky (I think that maybe if i've chosen the coverage 3, it would look more natural)
- it doesn't cover the pores without a primer AT ALL! Actually, if you have rather big pores, it emphasizes them a lot. However, if you use a primer, it looks really smooth (I used both Innisfree pore primer and also VDL Lumilayer, and i love it the most if i mix the Lumilayer into the foundation, with a ration 1:1)
- it takes quite a long time until it sets and also has some transfer.
Would I repurchase it ?
I am not sure. I am very curious to try the other formulas, so probably yes. However, I think it gets kind of expensive considering the fact that under no circumstances I can wear it without a primer, and in addition, I am not too keen on primers because they cause me blackheads if I use them daily.
I really love Innisfree skincare, so i really hope the other formulations will be better. I have a feeling that the formulas with less coverage would look more skinlike.
